The 13th September 2022 will forever stay in the memories of pupils and staff at Carr Primary School. P3-7 set off to Hillsborough in hope of meeting our new King. King Carles III was coming to Hillsborough to see an exabition about his late mother Queen Elizabeth.
Every pupil made a personalised note of condolance for the King and we took them with us just incase we got close enough to see him.
When we arrived at Hillsborough we were very lucky to get a prime position in order to see King Charles arrive. Our pupils got to shake hands and speak to our new King. King Charles asked if we could gather up our condolance notes so he could read each of them later.
What a day!
